Just a Snippet
Just a Snippet by Jack A. S. Dunce If you fall, just get up in a light minute -- the faith I once held in the human spirit. I've crawled my way out through life's battlefield. That I took some hits is implicit. Some wounds cut deeper than the others. For one, I even lost a digit. There's only so much punches one can take; I'm on my last leg, limping at my limit. I did not ask for a thing in return, but not one came for even just a visit. The sound of time's march is fast fading; I'll soon just be one more forgotten snippet. ©️pgmr 10/20/2024
