Just a Girl
My clock's probably broken, It doesn't include your time And I must be mistaken Cause you can't be mine Even my 'I like you's don't reach you, That's how far your eyes go And my 'I miss you's feel like false alarms Cause I can't really prevent the harms I can only wait And hope not to fall for a bait I can only smile Think of you beneath the pile And when I'm alone at night, I think of you, of how we could've been if you weren't right Why does the world hate love so much? Bite a part of my life to feel the crunch? I was happy, of course, they had to take it away, And it taught me how dangerous was that ray Yet I wish I could hold you for once and prove to the world That to me, you'll always be more than just a girl
