Just a friend
"Dad, he's just a friend," I would repeat over and over again, Even trying to convince myself. But friends don't hug like we do, With need and grab. Friends don't wrap around your brain, And live in your heart. Friends don't make out in the backyard Grass saying "We're just playing, nothing Serious." Friends don't screw each other because Their both scared of their first time being With a stranger. Friends dont cry when the other goes on a Date, Or say "their not right for you" So maybe he's not a friend, But he's still not mine, And my dad still doesn't know And maybe he never will.
