Just a Dream
Our souls unfurled in the blackness of last night, As I held you tight, your curves guided me; Your brown eyes illuminated my dreams, Replacing all those nightmares, by and large, Your braided hair, the key to my despair, Unlocked the doors throughout a dream deferred; Your lips, blood oranges that taste amazing, Consumed my skin, a memory I'll keep . . . Last night I burnt, today I just might die, But in those dreams, it was just you and I. Beforehand, I was always deeply sad, Amongst the dead souls, facing toward the sun; Before we met, those dreams had borne your face, The coldest star, here lies the proof, "Goodnight."
