July 26
If I knew then what I know now What would I do differently? ... not hold you so close to me Because of you only concrete, steel and bars I see! A month in on these dreadful grounds of a penitentiary. My thoughts always drift back to the day... - on July 26 wrestling with anger, shame, jealousy, hurt and pain. Also living in a prison within myself I alone can name! Steel slams into concrete! -my eyes adjust ... The August sun slowly blends with the darkness and feelings made. Before I close my eyes tonight, I place my tired heart on its make-shift shelf; along with the feelings I try to hide, the tear drops I silently cried All in this lonely, self-induced masquerade. Walking through storms I mindlessly somehow create; Stomping through puddles of piss and shame. Surrounded by faceless shadows, a creature in this land without a name.
