July
Every year... It circles back It hits a little harder every time Can we skip it next time? It's the same feeling each July I always lose my joy every July I've stopped pretending surprise July doesn't warn me...It jus arrives It knocks at the door of every year And waits for me to let it in again Funny part... It lets itself in No key needed. No invitation Dude creeps in like influenza Let's skip July next year I never get my silver lining on July Jus the same ache, same... Grief Jus the same panic attacks... I need the relief Every dog has its day... Uhhh, where's mine when July comes? Can't July jus take rest or something? Or maybe better... Cut me some slack July, take a day off... A chill pill Give my chest back its room to breathe Even influenza knows when to leave Why won't you?
