Judging Me
In the depths of my soul, a cauldron of struggles simmers, A maelstrom of emotions, that only I can comprehend, and surrender. The weight of my burdens, I bear alone, unseen, A secret sorrow, that I dare not reveal, lest it be misconstrued, and my heart be made to bleed. You judge me, with eyes that see, yet comprehend not, The labyrinthine corridors of my mind, where shadows dance, and demons plot. You judge me, with feet that walk, yet tread not, The winding paths I've traveled, where thorns have pierced, and heartaches have been wrought. You poke your nose, into the sanctum of my soul, Yet fail to grasp, the intricacies of my heart's dark role. You see the surface, the façade I wear, Yet comprehend not, the turbulent depths, that lie beneath, and linger there. You call me a failure, a loser, a soul forlorn, Yet fail to see, the strength I've mustered, to rise, to face the morn. For failing is not, the definition of my name, But rather a stepping stone, to success's sweet refrain. You judge me, based on the externals, the superficial guise, The clothes I wear, the appearance I assume, the mask that hides my eyes. But little do you know, the battles I've fought, the wars I've won, The scars that I bear.
