Joy was simple
I still watch the old cartoons, you know- the ones we grew up with. The ones that made the world feel lighter, simpler. I’ve said it so many times, and every time, I hear the same reply- Seriously? Me too. I love watching old cartoons. They remind me of the good old days. But tell me, do they really? We press play, we sit back, we try to lose ourselves in them. But do we feel the same? Or is it just noise now, like hearing without truly listening? We try so hard, don’t we? To bring back the warmth, to quiet the restless ache in our chests. To trick ourselves into thinking we can still go back. But my friend, does it ever work? We can still find the cartoons, sure. But where do we find those moments? The ones where the only thing that mattered was catching our favorite show on time. The ones where life felt soft, untouched by time and worry. Do we outgrow the magic, or does the magic outgrow us?
