Joy Unspeakable
What joy to be eternally saved, To know God's never angry with me, His loving gaze, a warm embrace, That chases away my deepest fears. What joy to know He'll never leave Or forsake me, His love sets me free, A freedom that echoes through my soul, A melody that makes my heart whole. What joy to have the life of Christ in me, To know my past is gone, erased by His decree, Like autumn leaves, my sins are swept away, As God's redeeming love shines bright each day. What joy to be a candidate for heaven's glory, Co-heirs with Christ, in His eternal story, A tale of love, of sacrifice, of might, That fills my heart with wonder and delight. What joy to have my mind renewed each day, To talk to God without guilt, in every way, In whispers, in shouts, in tears, in praise, I pour out my heart, and He hears my gaze. What joy to be in Christ, and Christ in me, To know I'm never lost, His love sets me free, A love that's strong, that's pure, that's true, A love that shines, and shines, and shines right through.
