Joy Ride
Joy Ride by Jack A.S. Dunce So here I go again, Without need to remain I walked back to the end But not to make amends. I'll stay still for awhile To look at the past mile, reminisce one last time When first your message chimed Aboard a paper star That flew us very far. At least, for me, it's true, Despite your different view. You've reached your destination -- My stopover station. I wish to go further, Where butterflies flutter Beneath the sea of stars. But it's not my guitar That fills your heart with song. It's just a ride along, A long pointless joy ride; Drop me by the way side. So here I go again, Without need to remain. --🏵️-- ©️pgmr 05/27/2025 *Inspired by all the dishes I washed this morning 😁
