Joy In Zion, II
...Following Him, He calls us to wine and dine An invitation we decide, which is fair and square Blessings will be high and dry Unless our transgressions are named and shamed Lest, we fall into perpetual doom and gloom In the heavens He was born and bred But for love He incarnated to become part and parcel In Israel's tribe in order to be one of us, kith and kin Setting us free and redeeming us are facts and figures His blood has made us to mix and match Into God's glory, as a redemption from His fast and furious Wrath. This is because we down and dirt In perilous sin. That is why we must first and foremost Wholeheartedly be fried and tested So that our deliverance will not wax and wane Worldly and vainly living, we were as blind as a bat Committing deeds as miserable as sin Believing and living, He made us as clean as a whistle Hoping and trusting in Him, we are as steady as a rock For when He comes knocking as sound as a bell We will be united with Him as regular as clockwork We sing praises and hymns, for there is joy in Zion Exalting and worshipping, for there, He is high on There is only one true Messiah we cry on For He roars for us in the tribe of Judah, as a Lion
