I was a young and ambitious boy I dreamed and had a perfect plan for my life By 24 out of school married and a kid Hah! life laughed, rolling on the floor as if my dreams were a joke I cracked Hah! Interjected Faith, saying young man you can't Laziness held me captive, refusing to let go of it's best client I toiled in mediocrity, facing mockery and anguish Despair took hold of my dreams, on my face that's all you could read I tried once in a while to put up a fight but gave up I was at my lowest point, my back to the ground my light dim it was there, that the voice echoed It echoed and vibrated in synchrony with my soul it told me, I am not done with you, I am not even started then slowly I crawled back focusing on that voice saying I got you, you got this It took me 4 years to achieve the first step on the ladder But oh my best step so far I vowed to reach my goal, and reach it I will Slowly but surely I will
