Jonathan Livingston Seagull

(Part 1 of 2) (Based on the book, "Jonathan Livingston Seagull," by Richard D. Bach.) Jonathan Livingston Seagull, (Jon), a story, is not a brave tale of power and glory. In fact, it's a tale of truly striving to be as Jon followed his heart, and will to be free. Jon proved that seagulls could soar very high, but all of his flock mates refused to try. When he was flying, Jon was at his best, performing aerial acrobatics with zest. While his fellow gulls all scrabbled for food, Jon flew on the air currents at high altitude. He wheeled and dipped as he soared in the sky and had way too much fun, to the critical eye. But the flock couldn't accept Jon as he was and Jon couldn't give up on his aerial cause. He worked on his flying until the last and, finally, the gulls made Jon an outcast. But Jon continued for many more years to perfect his flying, yet, he remembered his peers. It made him sad they did nothing to improve. But he stayed with his efforts and never was rude.
