The part of me that wrote this poem to you Is the side of me that got even close to you If being black was a course that was taught I would have said that you won an accolade to yourself Every time you speak in words I see a clearer picture Features of things in the future to see and hmm, maybe I'm overreacting This side of me got me smiling over things Are the things you say to me that got me screaming like a fool These pieces of string I wrote here just for you is to congratulate you for conquering the wave and sea
