Jealousy
Why does trust elude the love he shares? Why can’t I grasp the truth that he declares? His affection, a phantom, slips through my sight, A dazzling glow that shrouds my heart in night, my mind, my foe. Why can’t these doubts fade into the air? This envy that festers, a burden I bear, This bitterness I loathe, Imagining him with another, a dagger’s cruel thrust, Leaving wounds that fester, as insecurities rust. Why can’t I love him with a heart unconfined? This veil of jealousy clouds what’s divine. I yearn to offer him the love he deserves, A pure, unblemished bond, where trust truly serves.
