James...
James was the person I once called mine, the one who made ordinary moments shine. We had our laughs, our memories too, but somehow we stopped being me and you. We went our separate ways for a while, trying to heal and find our own smile. I thought our story had reached the end, just a chapter I’d never read again. But then we started talking once more, like opening up a familiar door. A simple text, a familiar name, and suddenly nothing felt quite the same. I would be lying if I said I haven’t thought, about getting back together and what we could’ve got. That one little message you sent my way, was the reason I smiled all day. Like a firefly flying through the night, a tiny spark, a little bit of light. Or a fire that still quietly glows, a feeling that stayed, even when it slowed. I know we don’t have to rush the way, we can take it slow, day by day. Because the strongest fires don’t always burn bright, sometimes they glow softly through the night. So maybe we’ll see where this goes, with the little spark that still glows. No need to hurry, no need to pretend, maybe this isn’t the end.
