I've Missed You Long Enough
I didn't like you at first Hated you in fact Purely because I was forced to sit with you every day But then over time I realized something had crawled in my bed Every night I didn't see you I thought it might have been lone liness But I've been sleeping with that beast since I was little Then I thought maybe it was boredom But it only comes in the day Then one night it clicked I missed you I missed seeing you that day Another creature to share my bed with I never missed someone before Not till I met you Then suddenly I was missing you Every time I didn't see you that day I was missing you on the weekends and holiday breaks I don't know when I started to miss you I just did Now I miss you every day and night Even if I saw you that day I never knew why Till one day it clicked You're the older sister I wished for You're the girl who I was supposed to grow up with You're the one I was meant to find Suddenly it made sense I miss you because I spent the better part of my life Missing someone I didn't know truly existed It's funny how that works One day I went from hating you To missing you I used to hate you Now I hate not seeing you
