I've Had Many Homes
I've lived on a cloud I've had everything I could ask for without fear of a drought I've had a life where no one went without I've lived alone in confinement I've suffered the unending the wrath of a tyrant I've fought so long every voice in my head went silent I've lived on every street in this city I've watched as others pass me with animosity I've worked for the happiness of others but caused my own anxiety I've lived in a portrait on the wall I've had the house, the family, the dream as it's called I've held it so tight that I lost it all I've lived in a school I've learned a thousand lessons and gained a thousand tools I've reflected on myself and learned of a fool I've lived no where, everywhere, and in every transgression I've stayed in a moment of happiness in a sea of depression I've altered my reality to change my perception I've had many homes and lived many places I've experienced life with countless faces But something I've realized as of late is In a book of my journey, I want you on all my pages
