I've been here before
You know, in my mind, we've been here before. We've walked down this very rut, hand in hand, You've told me to stop so we can rest. You've lain your head, gently in my lap And let me stare right into your beautiful eyes. You've taken my hand and put it on your chest To hear your steady heart throbbing To assure me it is alive, and it is beating. Just for me. In my mind, You've told me your secrets In paragraphs of course, pausing only to Stare at my smile, as you say something to bring it forth. You have been a bright torch lately blinding me with your brightness And I have let you. You've shown care and passion through and through. I live in my mind, to spend time with you. In my mind you've assured me of the future, Because we've talked from dusk till dawn. In my mind you always put me first And I never question that, because somehow I know I belong.
