I've been cursed
God must have deemed me unfit From the very moment I breathed To have the right to live peacefully Happily among the people of this world I see him give blessings to all he walks by Alas He had given me anchors chained to my every limb My eyes follow as he passes by the savage dogs said to rule the world And gently places roses into their closed hands And yet it seems that I should be grateful Grateful for what? I have been told to be so But I can't think under the pressure of the great ocean That my anchors pull me to the bottom of I am surrounded I am suffocated Am I deserving of life?
