it's nothing new
Date: 07 Mar 2026 It’s nothing new— the way you choose others as if I were invisible, as if I were not meant to be held after intimacy, not meant to be loved in the quiet moments after. It’s nothing new— watching you chase another girl while expecting me to stay where you left me, waiting like unfinished business until you grow tired of playing or suddenly remember what you once had. It’s nothing new— the second chances I hand you like open doors, only for you to return and remind me that whenever you leave, I will still be standing there. It’s nothing new— that the ones you truly want are my friends, and I am only the ladder you step on to reach them. It’s nothing new— how the nights end the same: me alone, tears soaking my pillow, waiting for another man to arrive and repeat the same old story. No, it’s nothing new. And yet, somehow, every time it happens my heart forgets the ending. Every time it feels like the first wound. And every time it hurts just as deeply.
