It's me Chris of 2013😪😪😪
The sun slipped through the blinds and forced my eyes open, but somehow… morning doesn’t feel like morning anymore. It used to be the chicken crow that yanked me out of sleep, a stubborn sound that annoyed me then. Now it’s the cold hum of cars machines that don’t care if I’m tired, worried, or growing up too fast. And maybe that’s the real difference… my thoughts aren’t the same. The world isn’t the same. The weight sitting on my shoulders now? It’s heavier than the chores I once feared, heavier than the muddy houses I used to build . Funny how those things I hated are the same things my heart now aches to return to. Back then, the pressure was simple. Now it’s results, expectations, patience that feels like punishment, and hope that keeps shaking when I try to hold it still. The December breeze is still familiar, but this one stings differently. It smells like memories I didn’t ask to remember, and nostalgia I didn’t invite. Christmas is close but the excitement isn’t here this time. Just the quiet truth that life has changed and I can’t go back… even though a part of me desperately wants to. 😪
