The lights are lit, the diyas shine, Diwali's joy, is truly divine. A festival of lights, a celebration bright, Fills our hearts, with delight. The darkness fades, the light prevails, Good over evil, truth never fails. The festival's message, pure and true, Is to spread love, and see others through. The fireworks burst, in colorful sight, The air is filled, with joyous delight. The sweetmeats taste, the family gathers round, Laughter and cheer, are the sounds all around. The goddess Lakshmi, is worshipped with care, For wealth and prosperity, we all pray and share. The lights of Diwali, shine bright and bold, Guiding us forward, to a brighter fold.
