It's Almost a New Day
I lock the door to prevent despair and misery the rain pounds the roof in a pattern sustained. I reclaim my pride and keep thoughts slowly together inside. Those are only angry words respoken. A common face, replaced an angel unjustly has fallen. Here we are in a tranquil place. Fake purple flowers on her box in a plastic vase. Darks arguing in the corner she's gently kissing the floor. These four glass walls reflecting none but showing all. The floor is littered with paper and drug paraphernalia. I pray to a god that doesn't exist, each waking day the pain persists.
