It was never my choice
Loving you… was something I never expected. It wasn’t a plan, a choice, or even a dream. It just happened like the stars forgetting they weren’t meant to fall. You’re so far away… like the moon, untouched and untouchable. And I, foolishly grounded, still look up every night, hoping you’ll see me too. But you won’t. You can’t. Still… for you, I’d become an astrologer. I’d learn the language of galaxies if it meant finding a path to your heart. I’d map constellations, rewrite the sky just to know how you’re doing, even if you’ll never ask about me. I know… it’s forbidden. I know I’m not supposed to feel this way. But how do you stop a heart from blooming where it was never meant to grow? Maybe you’ll never know. Maybe you’re not even meant to. But somewhere between the silence of your absence and the ache of my hope… I loved you. And maybe that’s enough. Even if it’s just me. Always just me.
