It started with a comment.
It started with a comment. "Why are you so fat?" She smiled. "Don't be offended," she said, "but... what do you even eat?" That was all it took. I stopped eating. Started running. Every step felt like punishment, every skipped meal like a reward. At some point, hunger felt like peace. A hollow well in my stomach, echoing, but comforting. Water sliding into that emptiness was the only thing I let stay. Then it shifted. I spiraled. I binged, and hated myself. So I exercised. Again. And again. Until that wasn't enough. Until I learned how to take the food back out. Purging. Satisfying. At first. Then... it took over. And I became a cycle. starve, binge, purge, repeat.
