It has been raining for hours
It’s been raining for hours Admired its misty view from the window, Could hear the wind and the showers, While you lay your head on my pillow. I whispered secrets to the night, The thunder answered in a gentle roar, Your warmth beside me felt so right, As raindrops danced on the wooden floor. The curtains swayed, the candles dim, Shadows painted stories on the wall, Every breath of yours a tender hymn, Holding me safe through nature’s call. Time seemed frozen, the world stood still, Just your heartbeat echoing near, The rain obeyed some unseen will, To make our silence crystal clear. I traced the outline of your face, The lightning framed you in its glow, In that embrace, I found my place, A love the storm could never overthrow. And as the hours drifted by, The rain became a soothing song, Beneath the endless weeping sky, I knew with you is where I belong.
