It Continues
I walk along the green and mossy path, There are others around, but I do not see them, My heart consumed, by loneliness and wrath, My face, inscrutable, disguising bedlam. I yearn to walk, this path alone, but free, Meet new travellers in this strange forest, My heart strings like the branches of a sturdy tree, Growing, expanding, despite the tempest. For a while, the melodies grant me peace, That for a second I may dream of just, nothing, Such times do not last, I fall into an abyss, Created by my uncontrolled thinking. Will I ever escape from this pathetic quagmire? Or am I doomed to live my life in this way I so tire?
