Isolation
Isolation In shadows deep, where isolation starts to creep, A mind once bright and vibrant , now drifts to sleep, Thoughts are like a misty fog that becomes thick and gray, It clouds the light of a hopeful, bright sunshine day, Echoes of laughter, now they are distant and faint, Painting the walls with shades of restraint, Colors that blur, and dreams that take flight, They land in a silence, devoid of all light, Each heartbeat stumbles, each breath feels heavy, The path is treacherous, the ground unsteady, Moments of joy that is fragile like glass, For they shatter too easily, as troubles amass, Isolation wraps like a cold winter cloak, Words left unspoken, beneath the smoke, Time ticks slowly, as the hourglass weeps, As the soul dives deeper, in silence it keeps.
