IS IT JUST ME...
My mind’s not been at rest — not lately. Thoughts racing like they’re running from me, And I can’t tell if I’m sinking slow, Or just scared of the things I already know. I feel it — like heartbreak’s peeking through the door, Like I’m bracing for something I’ve felt before. But I don’t want to believe it, can’t let it be true, Because the love I give? It’s real. It’s "you". I’ve poured too much — heart, soul, time, Told myself this story would rhyme. So why does every smile now come with fear? Why does silence suddenly feel unclear? Am I just overthinking things again, Letting my mind be louder than it’s ever been? Or is jealousy creeping where trust should live, Because I gave too much, and forgot to forgive? Maybe it’s me — the way I care too strong, The way I write love even when it feels wrong. Or maybe… something’s shifting out of view, And my heart knows, even if you won’t tell the truth. I don’t want to be paranoid. I don’t want to fall apart. But it’s hard to breathe when I’ve handed you my heart. And if my love’s too loud for your peace, Say it now… or help my doubt cease.
