Invisible in the Crowd
Lost in a crowd, I fade away A thousand eyes, but no one sees me stay My voice is loud, but only in my head I'm afraid to speak, lest they judge me instead My heart beats fast, my palms sweat cold I rehearse each line, before being bold To step forward and let my voice be heard But fear holds tight, and my words blur In rooms full of strangers, I'm lost and alone A stranger to myself, in this endless unknown I yearn for connection, a friendly ear But anxiety wraps tight, and I disappear
