Invisible Bruises
They push, they laugh, they roll their eyes Like I'm some joke they can't disguise. In the hall, they whisper, they stare, acting like I'm not even there. He shoves me hard, just for fun, She's spread rumors, says I'm no one. Words like knives, I hear them all, Can't they see I'm about to fall? Just trying to get through each day, Pretending I'm fine in my own way. Invisible bruises, scars on my heart, Why do they enjoy tearing me apart? But I hold on tight, keep my head high, One day, I'll find my wings and fly. They won't break me, though they try, I'll rise above, reaching for the sky.
