Invisible
I'm tired of being ignored, every day the same routine I go to school, but they mark me absent, as if I'm not seen I speak up, but my words fall on deaf ears It's like I'm a ghost, invisible, no one cares. I'm the quiet kid, so they ask, "Do you talk?" But their ignorance makes me walk away, Now I'm the bad guy, for standing up for myself But when I try to use my voice, it's like I'm not there. At home and at school, my voice is not heard, Even the people who are supposed to be there, they're blurred I'm most invisible to those who are supposed to care Why can't they see my pain, it isnt fair. The gifted, popular, and pretty, they're the ones who shine But where does that leave me, I feel left behind I feel uncared for and unwanted, every single day But that pain is my life, I'll never be seen or heard anyway. I'm the quiet kid, it's what I'm used to But that doesn't mean I don't have something to say or do I may not have the loudest voice or the brightest smile But I am here, and my presence is worthwhile. But they don't see that, I'm just the quiet kid May 3rd 2023
