INSECURITIES
The mirror shows a face I barely know, A stranger staring back, with shadows growing. My heart beats fast, a rhythm out of time, As doubts creep in, like whispers in a rhyme. Hindi ba ako sapat? The question lingers, A constant echo, in my soul it lingers. My flaws are magnified, a painful sight, While others seem to shine, so bright. I see the beauty in their smiles so wide, Their confidence, a river, strong and wide. But in my reflection, I see only flaws, A tapestry of imperfections, without a pause. Pero bakit? I ask, with a voice so low, Why do I feel this way, this constant woe? Is it the world's standards, so harsh and cold, Or is it a story, my heart has told? I'll learn to love the scars, the lines I see, Embrace the imperfections, set my spirit free. For beauty lies beyond the surface deep, In the strength I find, when I finally sleep. I'll rise above the whispers, the doubts I face, And find the courage, to embrace my space. Ako ay sapat, I'll whisper, loud and clear, And let my true self, finally appear.
