Inscrutable Midday
Everyone was absent today, All chairs were quiet out of sound at midday, All the corridors echoed back my footsteps, As I could hear the slight sigh even through my lips, How strange is it to see how empty, Am I dreaming with my head being so humpty, Even the teachers aren't present, Though the doors were open to show me a lonely assent, Only the bags remained on a mysterious floor, Now the silence of fear only could soar, Am I the only one alive ? Or the last life left to die ? I called out every name that I had known, Whether I should be sad or give a frown, Now I just had to escape, As the fate blew a creepy vape, More stairs in this territory than the floors of entry, All led to silence and even my curious muscles begged for the factual penny, None answered so was my tragedy, All alone and climbing to and fro in the spiral of mystery.
