Innocent War
Shooting stars whistle by; what strange stars making noise like that. I hope my wish comes true. loud fireworks boom nearby; what are we celebrating? I wish someone would tell me. People are lying on the ground; their eyes closed and still no one told me it was nap time. Mom tells us that we have to leave; that it’s no longer safe here What does she mean? I don’t understand why are we leaving? where are we going? and where is Dad? where is Sister? She doesn’t answer and insists that we must leave; But I don't want to leave my home. We get on a boat and sail away I hope I get to go back with Dad and Sister.
