Inner Child
Chromatic the flow of color emerges back in like the rapids lately, I've grown grey deaf inside the echoes of my false happiness I wear a smile made of porcelain a vessel for all the lies I tell myself writing letter to the masked ego it is an expose of the confessions that dwell in the twilight hours I watch the tides rise and fall here the weight of my woes keep me stagnant the shadows of my insecurities have grown twelve feet tall or maybe I'm just buried twelve feet deep six feet beneath the casket of my passions figments of my love I once eagerly imagined but today my life rings out in chromatic every time I thoughtfully embrace this reality is a Mosaic layers and layers I wouldn't dare to escape blending of all the scenes I must honor the bigger picture a year of muted songs I can finally make out the cords in the warmth of December that little girl at my core is who I will always choose to love it's who I'm always striving to remember.
