Inner battles
The night's silence descends deep, A calm that soothes the body's sleep, Yet in the mind, a different tale, Inner demons start to prevail. The darkness whispers, "Face your fears," The quiet hours bring forth hidden tears, The thoughts that during day we'd hide, Now surface, and our souls divide. In this stillness, truths reveal, The shadows of our deepest feel, The night's peace turns to restless strife, As inner battles rage through life. But perhaps in this quiet night, Lies a chance for healing light, To confront the thoughts that bring us pain, And find solace in the darkness' reign. The night may be a killer to the mind, But it's also where we can redefine, Our strength, our courage, and our might, In the quiet hours of endless night.
