Incomplete nights of sky
Someone had come, so soft, so slow, With silent steps, like drifting snow. A stir was felt, a whisper near, A hush, a chill, a breeze so clear. In shadowed nights, the winds did sigh, Beneath a veiled and moonless sky. All seemed blurred, lost in haze, Even these eyes had lost their gaze. Yet in the dark, a hope did gleam, A quiet spark, a fleeting dream. The sky began to softly tell, A tale in light, where silence fell. Stillness ruled the earth around, Why then did that soul not back down? All lay hushed, all seemed faint— Yet something stood, without restraint. Someone sat in silence deep, Where shadows curl and sorrows sleep. The sky, his cloak from head to toe, Wrapped him in its gentle glow. He spoke of dawns not yet begun, Of hope that rises with the sun. No one saw that lightning bright, Or traced the trail of heaven’s light. She was a spark, a golden ray, A shining deer that danced away. Now slowly truths begin to show— She has returned to where hearts glow. Yet still the sky refuses to rest, As if holding tight what’s not confessed. Something’s left, not quite done— A tale unfinished, a rising sun...
