In Your Care
The sweet scent of my heart in necrosis but I am not allowed to die. You could be charitable and strike me down, so my soul would be released- But you... do not. You take care to not kill me with the arrows that pierce my body. I am pinned to the earth, unable to ascend beyond this grave, all for your caution and pity. Just strike me down, gentle one. Do not cradle me so, for your touch will cast me to madness- And what then, will I be?
