in tune.
my heart beats like a song. to the melody of your voice the harmony of our laughs in color and rich texture an inimitable combination of timbre as others cant see how the music we compose together dance in the air as musical notes— quavers crotchets minims semibreves sometimes dotted. rhythms... —unexpected— offbe ats. cause our musical styles sometimes clash like dissonant chords. the semitone between our arguments. but that, dissonance only ever makes the resolution just that much sweeter as we lock eyes and cresendo but also ritardando at the same time cause everything has all slowed down in our own little secluded duet, the jump together to the dominant seventh in time before we hold hands and return to the tonic, our home— it's the perfect cadence. in tune, to the music we have composed— our hearts beat like a song.
