"In Time's Embrace"
In time's embrace, I placed my trust, To keep you close, to hold us just. Each stone etched with our tale, so clear, A love I hoped would persevere. With all I had, I gave to you, Dreaming of a love that grew. In return, your presence warm, To weather every raging storm. Yet perhaps I sought too much, Believing I deserved your touch. Time, I trusted, would keep us near, But now we're distant, love austere. Still, I loved you with all my heart, Though now it's torn, torn apart. In darkness now, my colors fade, Lost in memories we once made. I strive to reclaim what's been lost, To mend what's shattered, at great cost. Each day, the ache within me swells, Struggling to wear smiles like shells. Yet in my solitude, I hear, Whispers of voices, oh so near. "You're not alone," they softly cry, Guiding me as I learn to fly.
