In the Wrong Light
In the Wrong Light by Jack A.S. Dunce I fear the world won't understand And terrified of what you'll think. The thought my mind can't even stand; My conscience just can't be hoodwinked. Even white roses will be seen As tainted red in the wrong light the world seems to be bathed in -- A sense of right that's just too bright. Sadly, the ones I hold and bring, Acquired, it seems, a different hue -- A shade that's white but not quite spring, As the thought of you made me blue. And so, I'll plant away my rose; I know, in time, this wound will close. --🌼-- ©️pgmr 05/10/2026 *Inspired by Goo Goo Dolls' Iris, which have been on repeat for quite some time now 😅
