In the Wake of Her choice
I reached out like the soft breeze yearning to bend the willows but in the quiet of my longing her laughter danced with a different melody Each glance was a whisper Every word weaved in shadow yet the light of another claimed her heart, a distant star I watched from the edge of dreams where hope anchored its fragile sails as she drifted into the arms of those promised shores I could not reach Now the echoes remind me of what could have been, a tender ache but in my solitude, I learn to sing of choice made and a love unclaimed
