In The Velvet Night
In the velvet night where whispers blend, Love danced with stars, our hearts did mend. The moon, a lantern in our shared sky, Guided our dreams as time slipped by. Yet the stars, though bright, can sometimes fade, And love’s sweet symphony starts to degrade. The moon’s soft light turned cold and wan, As we faced the dusk of what was once dawn. The constellation of our tender grace, Scattered like stardust in space, Where once our hearts were intertwined, Now shadows linger, undefined. Yet in the silence where moonbeams rest, We remember the night when love was best. For in each star that gleams afar, Lives the echo of what we were—a dying star.
