In the still of night
In twilight's hush, where shadows play, A maiden fair with passion's sway, She laid upon her bed of green And pondered long on secret sheen. The moon's pale glow upon her face Reflected dreams in a silver space Of love unspoken, yearning deep For one whose heart her soul could keep. His laughter echoing through her mind A melody that would forever be entwined With whispers of sweet promises untold And fantasies of love that dared to unfold. In dreams, they danced beneath starry skies Hand in hand, their hearts beating as one No secrets, no regrets, just pure delight In each other's eyes, a love so bright. In the still of night, she'd hold him tight And pour out all her love, her every light For in his arms, she found her peaceful nest A place where she could rest and be at her best. So let this verse be a token true Of the love that burns, the passion anew.
