"In the silence, oh God"
Dear father ,dear father Your wonder I have heard and do not deny, yet falter I do give me evidence of your glory A mortal's word You are made perfect in our weakness Your grace , dear father I humbly request to run the race Give me strength, dear Lord , to falter less and less To trust in your word And your eternal grace Like your beloved hear my cries Let my weak heart speak When my tongue ties , For your will is hard, Yet in your arms I'll seek. Hold me like a child Let me rest on your blossom and feel your warm embrace Help this mortal Lord , as I kneel and pray and my spirit flawed My soul groans ,words fail Yet your spirit knows.. Dear father I yearn to speak with you, yet you whisper ,"Be still", In the quiet of your presence Human tears roll, heart flows ,yet in your silence I find all I need to know For your love is beyond words In your silence I hear The depths of your love , yet my mind protests , "But words , I need words!" And yet in your silence I find your peace My soul's darkest recesses. Your silence ,my guide , my rest,my home, In the whispering night
