In the Name of Her Breath
She came like dawn to a weary sky, Lit up my dark, then drifted by. A storm of grace, serene, divine, Where love and ruin intertwine. Her voice — soft rain on kindled flame, Awoke my soul and spoke my name. Since that hour, I’ve known no rest; Her name still beats within my chest. Her eyes — two stars in a silent sea, Hold every shade of eternity. Their honey burns, their shadows weep, They haunt the corners where I sleep. Her scent — half sin, half sacred art, Still lingers deep within my heart. Her laughter bends the edge of time, Her tears are truth, her love — sublime. I’ve crossed the lines that reason drew, For love like hers is fierce and true. She breaks me soft, she burns me slow, Yet still I crave her afterglow. If loving her invites my fall, Then let me fall — I’d give it all. For in her arms, my soul found death, And was reborn… in the name of her breath.
