in the memories

she looks at the pictures memories flood back a birthday party a swing set parents putting beside their distaste all for her to laugh.. a Christmas Eve as a family for the first time in ages.. a trip to the lake a prom graduation first ride on the bike a hidden pregnancy a new baby acceptance yet seemingly alone grandparents parents all coming together for a lost teen and then slowly they fade from the pictures as their lives are slowly cut short so close together yet so far apart now it's all in the memories now she struggles to make sense of it all. everyone gone before things that needed to said could be so now she says it to the pictures... to the heavens above praying they know her heart.
