I love you, but I can’t wait forever, Life must unfold, no matter the tether. With each passing moment, the days drift away, Though my heart longs for you, I cannot just stay. My dreams beckon gently, urging me on, While shadows of “what ifs” linger and fawn. In the silence, I’m torn between joy and despair, Yet my spirit must soar, I must learn to repair. Though I wanted you here, to share in my light, I know deep inside, I must set things right. With or without you, my journey’s my own, In the garden of time, new seeds must be sown.
